Pet Friendly Vacations in Cabo San Lucas
What to do with your pet when you go on vacations? Bring it with you of course! If you own or have ever owned a pet, you know that they are part of your family, and it’s very hard to leave them behind. The key for traveling with your pet is finding the right destination for you and your little friend, a place where you will be in total comfort, enjoying the place, the attractions and activities as much as possible.
We’re happy that Los Cabos, famous for its spectacular beaches, the cuisine, and its golf courses, is also a good and very caring pet friendly vacation destination. Our Casa Oceano is a comfortable and elegant pet friendly home, located in the beautiful community of Palmilla in San Jose del Cabo. At this luxury private villa you can enjoy spectacular views of the 5th fairway of Jack Nicklaus’s Palmilla Ocean Golf Course, and a large private terrace with entertaining area, a BBQ, a palapa covered dining area, lounge seating and of course a beautiful pool, with a low ‘pet friendly area’, and a deep one for you! Beside the villa itself, Los Cabos has a bunch of pet friendly attractions for both of you. If you plan on traveling with your dog, you can take him/her with you almost anywhere! For example popular restaurant Mango Deck, located at El Medano Beach is a good place to hang out and a good place for your puppy; they have a “mascota” seating area in the sand with umbrellas to keep them out of the hot sun. Among other pet friendly places in Cabo San Lucas, we also recommend two places (that we regularly visit with our dogs) at the Cabo San Lucas marina: Captain Tony’s restaurant and Tiki Bar, where dogs are welcome. After a nice walk around the Cabo Marina, there’s nothing better then refreshing at any of the pet friendly restaurants with your pup and enjoying a cold margarita or beer, while he gets his bucket of cold water and a treat. San Jose del Cabo has a lovely pet friendly marina as well, and it’s very easy to explore the historic downtown with your pup. If a picnic is on your mind, we totally recommend you to have a lovely morning at the Organic Market of San Jose del Cabo.
The extraordinary beaches of Los Cabos and Baja are a good option too, most of the beaches welcome dogs, except two Blue Flag certified beaches at Chileno Bay and Santa Maria. Beaches are a good place to enjoy the sun, play in the sand or take a little walk. Just don’t forget to bring some extra shade and water for your puppy.

Check the Airline Requirements for your pet.
Make sure to not forget the collar with a name and emergency contact info.
Get a Veterinarian checkup before traveling.
Pack toys, special items and blankets from home, so they don’t miss home too much.
