Most Romantic Restaruants In Los Cabos

Be it Valentine’s Day or any other day, a little romance is always welcome. I believe Baja is so romantic; secluded beaches, uninhabited islands, secret desert paths and tropical oases with waterfalls are just some of the natural treasures we have. But if you are planning a special romantic evening, may we suggest some of our favorites. The criteria for our selection includes the food, the ambiance and the service:

1. El Farallon Restaurant at The Resort at Pedregal

El Farallón is a Los Cabos restaurant tucked into the cliffs of The Resort at Pedregal that resembles a coastal seafood shop that has survived its share of storms. The restaurant is stocked daily with bounty from local fishermen where the catch rests on mounds of shaved ice. Beside it, an old fashion scale weighs each catch, and the selection of the day is handwritten with chalk onto a blackboard. Various selections from the day’s catch are displayed on ice in El Farallón’s market-style fish display, or “La Panga,” accompanied by local experts available to answer your questions and assist in your decision. Open daily for dinner 7:00pm – 11:00pm, reservation is a must, as it is often fully booked for weeks in advance. Chose the ocean front table, so you can have the waves crash right in front of you, or visit their newly open Champagne Terrace.

2. Don Manuel’s at The Resort at Pedregal

Don Manuel’s is another The Resort at Pedregal restaurant. We included it on the list as Don Manuel’s and El Farallon are very unique restaurants and both with their own features and characteristics. Don Manuel’s is a fine dining restaurant, where the cuisine is based on local, organic produce grown specifically for the restaurant and prepared using old world techniques in a modern setting. A truly unique aspect of this Signature Restaurant at The Resort at Pedregal is its kitchen, “Su Cocina.” In the same spirit of an authentic Mexican kitchen, the doors of “Su Cocina” are always open to Don Manuel’s guests. Guests can choose to experience Don Manuel’s private dining room, a private booth, the patio overlooking the Pacific Ocean or a romantic dinner on the beach for two (my favorite!).

3. Agua at One & Only Palmilla

Agua Restaurant At One&Only Palmilla is one of Cabo’s most famous dining. Perched on a bluff, overlooking the Sea of Cortez, the al fresco, palapa-style restaurant serves Mexiterranean cuisine, a unique hybrid of Mediterranean fare with Mexican influences. Enjoy the casual elegance of dining al fresco by the fountain courtyard or step inside for a delicious evening repast by the glow of the fireplace. For an evening of romance, reserve the Moonlight Table for two overlooking the moonlit sea and San Jose coastline (tables are limited, please reserve in advance). Throughout the restaurant, musical entertainment bring a special ambiance of authenticity to the evening.

4. The Restaurant at Las Ventanas al Paraíso

The Restaurant’s acclaimed locally sourced, nationally inspired menu is rooted in authenticity and all things local. Known for coining the term “Baja-Mediterranean” cuisine, The Restaurant at Las Ventanas has extended the Baja cuisine narrative with an inspired Mexican menu reflective of the distinct regions of Mexico. Sophisticated, elegant and relaxed, The Restaurant features authentic Mexican decorative touches and the finest, hand-painted Mexican crockery. Every table at The Restaurant enjoys fabulous views of the resort’s pools and the glistening Sea of Cortez.

5. Cocina del Mar, Signature Restaurant at Esperanza

“Cocina del Mar” is known for its exquisite variety of fresh fish and seafood specialties. It utilizes only the freshest possible ingredients, offering a spectacular and unusual presentation. Inspired by the wide selection of food that the coasts of the American continent offers and the international experience of the “Cocina del Mar” culinary team. The executive Chef born in Argentina offers cuisine that covers several styles and traditions of North, Central and South America, utilizing contemporary and creative techniques. A three and four course menu is offered, considering always vegetarian and vegan options. If available, book a cliff side table.

6. Maca by Casianos

Casianos concept is known as “No Menu… No Rules… Spontaneous Cuisine…”. Chef Casiano Reyes will dazzle you with his very own approach to food. Originated from the desire to not be constrained by ingredients or a menu that are not always at their prime or a lesser quality. What matters is the essence of the dish made specially for you… When you visit, the Chef and the team will explain you what he is cooking that day. That will depend on the fresh produce he was able to get at the organic market, catch of the day and more. Everything involved in your dinner will be handpicked by our Chef himself, assuring that you will enjoy the best and the freshest products that the Baja has to offer. Be prepared for an exquisite 3 or 5 Course Tasting Menu that will give you a new culinary experience each time you visit us. A delightful experience! If you prefer San Jose del Cabo, you can also visit them in their San Jose location.

***NOTE: This restaurant has been closed since September 2014 – they told us they are looking to relocate. We’ll let you know when they reopen.

7. Pitahayas, Sheraton Hacienda del Mar

The Pitahayas chef Volker Romeiker blends flavors from the Pacific Rim into dishes from the Far East, for a menu that’s both imaginative and appetizing. Advance reservations are required.

8. Doc Wine & Bar

DOC Wine Bar is an authentic Italian restaurant located in Cabo San Lucas. Its small and warm space provides a pleasant and agreeable experience, and its decor—which consists of candles, old Italian posters, and chalkboards where the restaurant presents its wine lists, menu, and thought of the day—transports you to little restaurant in central Italy. The menu changes regularly but always includes Italian dishes prepared to order with fresh ingredients. Many of these meals are made with products brought in from organic farms in towns bordering Los Cabos. Salads and pastas are the house specialty at Doc Wine Bar and are always at the base of the menu. The restaurant also offers steaks, seafood, and other fresh products it can get on a given day. The wine selection consists of purely Italian and Mexican wines and ranges from the more accessible labels to the most prestigious. Try their original desserts. The service is excellent and you might find yourself chatting with the waiter like he was your long lost friend.

9. Salvatore’s

Salvatore’s is known for extraordinary Italian cuisine, generous portions, a quaint atmosphere and great personal service. Located by the pool at the Siesta Suites Hotel in downtown Cabo San Lucas, Salvatore’s is a pristine place ran by father and son, whose family has been in restaurant industry for more than 100 years. Mussels in marinara sauce, osso buco, chicken parmigiana, lasagna, and calamari are just some of the many Italian staples offered at this funky little spot. Portions are large and prices are reasonable. Finish dinner off with a chocolate flan before hitting the main drag for some serious nightlife.

10. Bar Esquina, Bahía Hotel

Among Cabo’s newest first-class restaurants, Bar Esquina, features a unique twist on International creative cuisine: Mexican influenced Mediterranean flavors using locally grown, organic produce; fresh fish from the Pacific & Sea of Cortez; and the highest quality meats cooked on a mesquite grill. Because of its cuisine, ambiance, service and location, Bar Esquina is quickly becoming one of the most popular restaurants in Cabo. Bar Esquina also offers organic Mexican coffee direct from Chiapas & Oaxaca, brewed fresh daily from 7am. Paseo de la Marina, Cabo San Lucas. 12. Sunset da Mona Lisa

13. The Container

True to its name, this marina front, open air restaurant is ecologically constructed from a recycled sea container. 14. 7 Seas Seafood Grille, at Cabo Surf Hotel
